7.0 Earthquake

As many of you have probably heard, today there was a 7.0 earthquake in Haiti. It was in Port au Prince, which is on the south side of the island; we will be living near Cap Haitien which is on the North side. We just received an email from one of the volunteers at COTP and were informed that none of their buildings have been damaged. All staff and babies are safe. Please pray for those who have been affected by this event. Also, we would like to thank the lord for keeping all the babies at COTP safe!! From what we know already, a hospital was destroyed, which is horrible since there are very few places where people can get health care (causing many to rely on witch doctors). As we know more, we will continue to update you!!

On another note, we would like to thank those who have already begun sponsoring us! You don't realize how much we appreciate your support. Also, some of my old coworkers at iQ Credit Union have decided to help out as well. They will be hanging up flyers at the Salmon Creek branch and collecting donations for us! We are grateful for any chance to help spread the word of our mission to help babies in Haiti.

Love you all,
Nikki
